HIV social research

This section summarises information about current social research related to HIV prevention, care and support in Australia.

The Centre for Social Research in Health (CSRH) and the The Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS)are two key university-based research centres that conduct regular surveys and qualitative research that examines the lived experience people with HIV, and trends in sexual behaviour.

HIV community organisations such as the National Association for People with HIV Australia (NAPWHA) also occasionally conduct, or collaborate on research in order to inform their health promotion programs.
